【Abstract】
The Division for Automotive Aerodynamics Research at the Institute of Aerodynamics and Fluid Mechanics at Technical University of Munich has established industrial partnerships with German Automotive OEM, mainly BMW and AUDI. The talk will summarize past and current joint research projects, dealing with numerical and experimental investigations of wheel/wheelhouse aerodynamics, dynamic mode decomposition for unsteady vehicle aerodynamics, wind tunnel design and acceleration strategies for Finite-Volume-, Lattice-Boltzmann- and Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics based CFD using GPGPUs.
